about

Zakolongo is the third title in the LARIVIÈRE Meets collection. Inspired by a Central African nursery rhyme, Edgar Rebel sings about the fragility of childhood in his native language, Sango. He speaks about those who choose to protect it or to use it as a weapon.
We find the punchy flow of the former boxing champion Edgar Rebel on an afro electronic beat where a balafon from space comes to rub against the 808 bass and acoustic percussion.
Resolutely made to dance, this track appears on the B side of the vinyl LARIVIÈRE Meets Edgar Rebel available now.

Shot in Guadeloupe, the video illustrates the singer's message and suggests the path that life can take, led by an inevitable attraction through the obstacles.
